I guess it depends on your monetary situation. If you can afford to work in something that makes you happier then go for it. A frustating job may be more expensive in the long run.

Your question reminds me of that Pink Floyd song "Money".

Yes, i actually just did this, I left a job and went to one that is almost $5 less an hour then I was making simply because I was happier at the new place and because I couldn't take the stress of the old place anymore, sometimes I think that your happiness and well being have to come first!! Go with what makes you happy!! Good luck with whatever you decide!!

It would depend on how sure I was that I would like the new job better. If you are making the judgment based on liking the people you work with better, just keep in mind that everyone seems nice AT FIRST. If you are bored with your day to day tasks, that is going to be the case with any job. If you have some type of experience in the new job and enjoyed it before, then I say go for it.

Not generally. Talent is the name of the game. Your top
pay is encumbering is more often the issue. Check your real
life investments. Children, friends, activities have to be just
as well ordered as you need. The good news is that there is
plenty of demand for your spending dollar. Perhaps a new
fashion wardrobe will cheer you up. Keep this in mind that
destiny may be given chances of high import. Sharing and
love, blessings, arts, even sports may be the mainstay of
your hearts ideals. Keep the faith. This community in itself

Only if pretty sure I'd like the new one better, and that I could afford to pay all of my bills with the lesser income. Being happy is more important than money any day.

Actually, I am right in the middle of doing that now. I've made a pretty good salary as a lawyer but am looking for something else...probably teaching. Our daughter has graduated from college and I've qualified for retirement, so the basics are covered and I can look for something that is more satisfying.

Money isn't everything.

Absolutely. Life is too short to be unhappy and you spend a large amount of time at work.

It depends on your philosophy of life!

Mine are, "Do what you love!" and "If you love your job, it's not work!"

If however, money--and more of it--is very important to you, then you need to think twice about switching jobs.

YES.

But, I would also look for ways to earn additional income.
