When I'm depressed I usually take a nice long bath, or you know listen to music that makes me feel better. It's good to just relax and then usually I start to realize I don't need to sit around feeling sorry for myself. I just get out and do something to keep my mind off of whatever makes me feel depressed. Hang out with your friends have a good laugh. Get some caffeine into you. Or the typical sit home and write down everything your feeling and then rip the paper to shreds and laugh picturing that all your problems left when you ripped up the paper.

Well, I suffer from clinical depression. So I take medication daily. (chemical imbalance in brain.) But if it's worse than normal I try to get busy and get my mind off of myself. Exercise on my Power Rider. Play keyboards. Listen to music or just come on here and read or answer questions. Or just work on my website.

Try to eliminate the source of the depression but that's not always possible. So, I lay in bed and close my eyes and imagine myself someplace where I was completely relaxed and try to reproduce that feeling in my body and not care about anything else that is going on in my life or around me.

Go to downtown and walk. Meet some new people. If I can't do that I'll just listen to one song over and over again.
If I'm still depressed I'll just do some math problems.

I suggest going to a doctor, not a "shrink". It could be a serious health problem. Depression can be caused with unbalanced chemicals in your brain. The doctor can prescribe a medicine that's right for your level of depression.

Call up my friends and talk to them, not just about the problem, but because I like having another person around me with cheer to make me feel better. I don't like sitting or laying in my room crying, it just makes it worse.

I try to find somewhere to be by myself. I usually don't want anyone to know that I am depressed.
