When's the soonest you can have sex using Ortho Tri-Cyclin Lo with out using condoms and other such things?

When you start the next cycle of patches. The patch that you put on the sunday after your period. It takes a month just like bc pills. If you have any doubts call the doc that prescribed them to you.

OOPS SORRY: I didnt read the question right (i hate it when people do that - and here I go doing it :( A month: as soon as you start the next cycle of pills after you have your first period while on the pills. My doctor told me its best to be safe than sorry and to wait a month with all types of BC. Hope this helps.

I would wait at least 2 weeks to be sure the pills have completely circulated through your system.

you should use a condom in conjunction with birthcontrol so as not to contract any STD's or accidental pregnancies because even on birth control, you CAN and women HAVE gotten pregnant. 99.9% success rate doesn't mean 100%

You can start a week after your put the patches on. Don't have sex during the first wk! You for sure will get pregnant! I know it from experience. That's how I get my 2nd baby. After my 2nd child, I tried the patches again and waited a wk and never got pregnant until we wanted one.

the doctor should have told you this. you have to complete one full cycle including a period before your safe and even then you should still use a condom. the pill isnt 100% and it doesnt protect against stds
