If you don't know what threading is don't use this as a place to ask

I can't think of one - I love getting threaded! I guess that some places may charge more than waxing, but I found a great place that I love in NYC.

Some people have said that it hurts more than waxing - it takes longer than just ripping a strip. For me though, I don't think it's that painful, and you get such better results.

Also, sometimes the wax isn't sanitary - or irritates your skin.

I have actually had mine threaded the last 4 or 5 times I have gone in place of waxing. I love it! So far, I have not had any negative things to say about it. From my own experience it seems when I have threaded I have not had to go back for waxing as often and I think I get an overall better job. Granted, the woman who does mine has been doing it for over 15 years...long before it became a "trend" I guess you could say. It is amazing the way they do it as well...I still don't get it, but I love it.
I think they are able to get a cleaner line with threading like I said...no chance of the wax getting somewhere it shouldn't. Also, if the wax they are using is old, you don't get as good of a job done and it is not sanitary. Also, with threading you don't have all the redness and sensitivity of wax. Where I have it done it it is also quite a bit cheaper than waxing...around $8 for both eyes compared to $12 for waxing. If you haven't tried it, give it a try just once and see what you think.

I always get my eyebrows threaded. I prefer it to waxing because it is more precise in shaping the brows. It is a little painful (no more than waxing), but tolerable unless you're extremely sensitive to pain. The area that is threaded may be a little red/swollen for a little while after you have it done. Results last about as long as a wax, for me anyway. I don't know if this is true or not, but I hear threading is better than waxing because it does not over time, cause the skin to loosen, as what supposedly occurs when waxing.
