Actually that sounds like a fair price for everything. Considering the work to remove and dispose of, which has a cost factor. The purchase of 2 new trees. If they are professional landscapers they should be knowledgeable on proper time to plant. This time of year plants are dormant, which would make them a better time to plant to prevent shock. Make sure you ask them what warranty that the new trees have.

Not a fair comparison. If you update the Utopian world of A&E to fit today's times, you could imagine a world without disease, where no person is hungry, suffering or homeless. Imagine if God actually appeared, granted all this and even provided every person or family a free home that cost nothing to maintain. What would happen? About 10 minutes after God was done, someone would say, "hey, how come that guy got the house with the really good view", people would start fighting, killing each other and complaining that God didn't care. So I guess a fair comparison of God to parents would be if the parents did everything within their power to keep bleach from the kid but the kid breaks into the neighbors house, steals an ax, and then spends an hour smashing open the cabinet where the bleach is locked so he can drink it.

really your getting a bargain if the tree they are removing is a haw thorn tree the roots go very deep even on a 10 ft one when they plant the new trees take a 5 gallon bucket and place a pin hole in the bottom and fill it with water and tie the bucket to the tree should keep it watered for about a week depending on the weather also you can add liquid fertizler to the water and kill 2 birds with 1 stone from a nursery woman in tennessee

I don't think you are getting a bad deal, especially if you are getting the old trees hauled away. It sounds like there are at least two workers. The plants sound huge. If they do a good job, and the plants are in good condition, it sounds like a reasonable quote. You might give them some deep water a few times and concentrate on keeping them watered well the first years they are in so that they will send down good roots.

You are getting a pretty good deal. At that price I would say you are dealing with a fly by night landscaper, just be careful they are not hiring any underage workers and they are not doing the job anywhere that might receive damage as it is likely they are not insured. Ex: kid gets hurt cutting a tree on your property and they are gonna sue you. Ex 2: the tree falls on your roof or car - you are not gonna get their insurance to pay for it.
I am certain at that price they are not paying taxes either, but you are not the IRS. Just be careful with repeat business. Ten bucks says they finish that job tomorrow and offer to do about 3 or 4 other jobs for you if they haven't already.

It is the perfect time in your area to plant trees and the price sounds very reasonable to me. Please remember though that it takes a long time for new trees to become established and you must water them almost daily to keep them going. Consider them to be in intensive care for a few months.

Would you do all that work and supply two new trees for that price? Probably not. The trees alone could retail for that much depending on species. Consider yourself lucky.
