* The genocide happened across the country. It was a very well planned campaign against the Tutsi population and the moderate Hutu's.

* According to the Convention for the Prevention and the Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (voted into existence by the UN in 1948), genocide is a crime under international law, the Convention laid down the following definition:

"Under genocide falls any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnically, racial or religious group, as such:
a. killing members of the group;
b. causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
c. deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
d. imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
e. forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

* Parties involved: Interhwamwe, Presidential Forces, Rwandan patriotic Front underleadership of Paul Kagame, UNAMIR (UN force under command of Romeo Dallaire)

*The impact of the genocide: 800 000 people killed. Parents killed their kids, neighbours killed eachother, just like spuses and families. There is a great level of paranoia and trauma Amongst Rwandans as many have lost loved ones. Other suffer from the fact that a loved one was amongst the perpretrator. During the genocide, the fields were abondonned woth the rersul that the once so fertile land eroded.

That is a lot of questions, and to type an answer here would take ages. Your best bet would be to type "Rwanda" into the box a little lower down that has a gray button beside it labeled "search the web". This will take you to a page of links connected in some way to Rwanda. Scroll down to the Wikepedia link, and follow it to that page where you will find the answers to many of your questions. Good luck

You are going to have to break that up into more questions.
They were a pastorial people who lived in small communities with grass roofs and houses sitting on stilts.. to avoid Cobras.
Grazeing land with herds of goats, sheep and cows.
Ruled by a type of partriarcle rule or the oldest in the clan ruled.
But everyone in the village was his children, nieces and nefews and watching them grow up knowing each ones personality knew what was going on. In the day to day stuggle to survive they kept busy.
Then the Islamic religion and arabs decided to convert them or actually just kill them. They wanted their land and herds and basically just wanted them out of there. They felt God wanted them to have the land because they were the right religion and right with God. while these people were savages.
So they descended onto a people who without an organized military or any means of protection where pretty much helpless.
They killed them and blew up their houses and made them run away into the jungle to avoid the slaughter. the houses build off the ground were easy to burn and leaving them homeless some of the young people ran away. The lost boys of Africa?
they went all over killing and destroying. So in an effort to protect themselves they formed small armies ran by war lords.
Only the war lords couldn't get along and work together to get rid of the invaders. So it became a free for all.
With the inocent civilians caught in the middle.
Instead of one centralized government Sundanize government that was run by the ruthless Islamic extremists who just wanted them to die. It broke up into many fractions.
All efforts to unite them were in vain. The Arabs were getting rich because they robbed from everyone.
That is until they tried to do the same thing with Ethopia.
they were united and sent them packing.
they feel that Allah has given them the world it is only up to them to take it. It is just that these pesky people keep getting in the way.
