It can be very good, when you go to get the massage make sure they have been trained in prenatal massages and ask if they have a pregnancy table...it actually has a hole for your belly, kind of like the one for your face, in enables you to lay on your stomach comfortably without hurting you or the baby!
ENJOY!

Have a GREAT day

Massages are great for you during pregnancy as long as they are from a creditable massage therapist who is familiar with prenatal massages. Please be extra careful about ensuring the massage therapist knows what they are doing, not only are certain oils dangerous during pregnancy, but there are trigger points in your hands, foot, and spine that can bring on premature labor. This is NOT a joke, an ill-performed massage can have serious consequences for you and your baby.

All that said, again, massages are VERY good for you and the baby, especially as your baby grows and you muscles begin to stretch out and loosen for labor.

Congrats if you are pregnant. Many blessings to you!

I think there's a part of your foot or ankle that they say can bring on labour if you massage it. Can't quite remember what it is since the odds of getting a massage from my husband is so low anyway (lol I don't have to remember if i'm not going to get one) And after 3 months you can't spend a lot of time on your back or on your belly when it gets bigger. As long as you avoid those things and check into the foot thing if you're planning on a foot massage, massage is better than good especially when you have more aches and pains than you think you can handle.

Yes but you need yo be careful about which oils you use - some common oils are not safe whilst you are pregnant. Read the following article before embarking on massage at home and ensure any salon you visit is aware too.

Never receive massage when you are in the first trimester of pregnancy as it can be 'dangerous'.

After this time, it is suitable to get massage on the back, neck shoulders, etc. However, never get massage anywhere over the abdomen during the entire pregnancy.

It's very good for the mother....mother needs her blood to be circulated because of the added physical activiy that is occuring....

My doctor actually wanted me to soak in the tub everyday....so I then joined a swim class....my baby and doctor were happy....

Weird that I never had any cravings except to swim...

Hello,

Massaging your back or belly is fine, but I would not recommend massaging or rubbing your feet. For some reason, that type of touch on your feet can make you go into early labor or have contractions.

Hope this helps you.............. : -O

yes it is good, especially in later months-It will relax you and help your sore muscles.
Just be careful of laying on your belly if you're getting a back rub.
