How is "Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip" doing for NBC? I am a major fan, but fear that it might not make it? I was a die-hard fan of both "Sports Night" and "West Wing" and would like to see "Studio 60" stay on for awhile. All three show above are so witty, I just love the characters and the fast-paced dialog - smart television is so hard to find these days, here's hoping "Studio 60" can stick around awhile!

I am in complete agreement!
I am loving Heroes as well!
I heard that it was picked up for a full season, so at least we have that coming...
The problem I'm having is how do the producers expect to keep ratings when they are taking such a long break? I mean, people who love the show and the talent in it, like me and you, are going to keep watching... but people who are on the fence about it, won't they find something else to watch?
I just think they should have premiered Jan 22 or pre-filmed the episodes for us :-)
Here is the latest news though... from Zapit.com

"At the beginning of 2006, Nielsen started tracking two different ratings systems as a way to measure the impact of digital video recorders. "Live plus same-day" ratings -- the ones reported on Zap2it every morning -- measure the number of people who watch a given show as it airs or within the next few hours. In "Studio 60's" case, that number hovered around 8 million people for much of the fall.
Nielsen also tracks "live plus seven" ratings, which includes people who watch a recorded copy of a show within the next week. "Studio 60" adds nearly 11 percent to its total audience in those ratings; including reruns, its average is closer to 9 million viewers for the season."

That's really good news for Studio 60 fans!!!

I like Studio 60--probably the best new show I've seen this year. I'm surprised at the lackluster performance in ratings, but I often look at shows I really like and assume they're doing well, then they up and get canceled (Joan of Arcadia, Freaks & Geeks, Commander in Chief). Oddly, there is an effort by some groups to actually _get_ Studio 60 canceled--apparently some people think it's offensive to Christians. I think some people find a balanced portrayal offensive.

Anyway, new results show that while its ratings are lackluster on the night of airing, it is the most videotaped show on the air--more people are videotaping Studio 60 and watching it later in the week than any other show that is currently airing. I'm not sure how much that matters, since advertisers presumably know that most people don't watch the commercials on videotape, but I really want this show to succeed.

So if they move it to another night or another time (and they probably will), please keep up and keep watching. And if you have a moment, log on to the NBC Web site and tell them how much you want them to keep Studio 60 on the air.

I loved "The West Wing" (bought all the DVDs!) and am very glad that NBC is giving "Studio 60" time to catch on...hopefully the audience will see it for what it is: it is the "behind the scenes" story of a comedy show, like West Wing was "behind the scenes" of the Presidency.
"The West Wing" was not trying to be political (although, obviously, many points were made) as much as reveal the workings of the political arena and all that goes into political decisions. Studio 60 is not supposed to be a comedy as much as reveal the personalities and activities that create the late-night comedy show.
It's the drama behind the comedy. There is humor, but humor is not the purpose of the show...and anyone who thinks it is supposed to be comedic-funny and is disappointed that it is not, is not paying attention and would probably be happier with The Simpsons or Southpark.

Studio 60 is my favorite new TV show! Jordan is the Dream Boss from Heaven who's got your back. Harriet is the born-again Christian with a brain (and the actress who plays her is nominated for a Golden Globe!). Matt and Danny are a great Buddy Act. I like the supporting cast, too!

I love knowing what makes comedians tick. Studio 60 is right up my alley!

It Is not doing very well, but it is the second in its time slot (7 Million viewers per week) but considering that CBS'S CSI Miami makes 15 million viewers and ABC's What about Brian makes 6.5, it is not doing so well. But surprisingly, NBC picked Studio 60 for a full season

In NBC there are better shows than this (Scrubs and 30 Rock)

studio 60 sucks... no character development whatsoever.... shaky writing.... just not a good show.

heroes is the only good thing NBC has going for them right now.
