To convert 2/3 into a decimal you would have to do 3 divided 2 and since 3 cant go into 2 you will have to put .0 and say to yourself how many times does 3 go into to without going over. And you go from there...... which is .666666666666 or you can just put .66 and put a line on top of the second six to show it repeats. :)

the decimal form is an irrational number and technically can't be written as a decimal. if you could, it would be something like 0.6666666666... and so on for infinity. leaving it as 2/3 is the only way for it to be a "rational number"

Well, 2/3 of 100 is 66.6 repeated. 1/3 of 100 would be 33.3 repated, and 3/3 is 99.9 but we round up to 100

so 2/3 would be 66.6 repeated in decimal form

but it could also be .66666 forever, if thats what you need
.6666666 is more common

2/3 in a decimal is understood as the number 0.6 with a bar above to show that it would repeat forever.

0.66666666666666666666666, or 0.667.

To convert fractions to decimals, divide the numerator by the denominator (e.g. divide 2 by 3, which gives you 0.6666666, which rounds to 0.667.)

God bless.
