Yes by accident or chance, not with 100% accuracy. Everything is relative, so heck go for it.....we seldom see the big picture enough to interpret the outcome of any intention......each observer brings their own interpretation...we and our intention become secondary.......It is possible to try to be as good as you can...but in this world very hard to do.

If you mean verify, it might go something like:

Good acts yield goodness for those taking the action
Those taking the action feel its goodness
Therefore, this act was good

Of course, this limits verifying goodness to the personal level.
