What is the process of extrating oxygen from carbon dioxide. Or does it have any oxygen at all? If not why the O2 is in it?

Ok. I'm talking about doing this manually, without plants.

Of course. All you have to do is find something that has more energy in it than CO2. Call it X. X + CO2 ===> CX + O2. So far, photosynthesis is the only thing we've found that can carry that out.

Carbon dioxide is constantly being removed from the atmosphere as part of the carbon cycle. If this did not happen the world would heat up and become a lot like Venus. The mechanisms that take carbon out of the atmosphere are called "carbon sinks."

Photosynthesis removes carbon from the atmosphere. It is the process that enables plants to live and grow. Photosynthesis occurs in the leaves of plants and the cells of microscopic organisms that live on land and near the surface of seas and oceans. The process uses energy from solar radiation (sunlight) to convert carbon dioxide and water into carbon-based sugars such as glucose.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) + Water (H2O) + EnergyGlucose (C6H12O6) + Oxygen (O2)

The sugars are then converted into other molecules such as starch, fats, proteins, enzymes and all of the other molecules that occur in living plants. Photosynthesis also releases oxygen into the atmosphere, which plants and animals need for respiration.

YOU can't, but plants can through photosynthesis.

If you are talking about breaking the carbon and oxygen atoms from the bond of CO2, then you probably have to go to a science lab to do it. It's easier to get oxygen through electrosis. This is breaking the bond of water molecules into 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen.

Plants do it during daylight, so there'll never be a shortage. Extraction of Oxygen is usually done by electrolysis, but as carbon dioxide has no liquid form it can't be done that way.

plants use carbon dioxide to make oxygen. This is called photosynthesis. As humans, we are not made that way, yet.
