Mustangs. You wanna talk about endurance, talk to a mustang. I got one who I could ride all day and night and he'd still be wanting to go. He's perty fast too...we get good times barrel racing :) Also they're so hardy that they don't get much health problems compared to other breeds, and they don't need shoes :) (generally speaking)
and my lil mustang has so much heart, I just know he'd do anything for me. He can go through rigorous trails because he has such good footing. Acutally my mustang is a Florida Cracker pony (basically a mustang that originated in Florida) and hes a really rare breed which makes him extra special.
yup yup mustangs are definitely my fav breed of horse no doubt about it. Beautiful, noble, hardy, intelligent, fast...the spirit of the West!

It doesn't always depend on the breed of the horse. More of it depends on the horse and it's personality. You can have a TB who has more of a "green" rider personality than a Morgan who might be high spirited at times. Sorry if that is a little hard to understand. What I'm trying to say is that make sure that you have looked at other horses and tried them out before you just buy. Ask lots of questions. Like I said...a certain horse isn't always perfect...it depends on the horse, not the breed.

I love all horses, but I have to say the Appaloosa is my favorite. Not only do I like the amazing color patterns, but they are as a rule hardy and intelligent horses. They usually have great hooves and since they've been interbreeding with Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses and Arabians, the conformation has improved greatly. I still don't like the solid babies, however. Apps should have SPOTS!

The foundation appaloosa(the ones not outcrossed on other breeds) holds a special place in my heart as that was my first horse. After that I have to say Quarter Horses & Paints
