ipods do that. let the battery drain and then restart it up hooked in the cpu

Unplug your ipod from your computer. Reboot your computer...it took mine a while. If your Ipod is still frozen, press menu for a long time till the apple symbol pops on the screen. Good LUck.

This happened to me the other day. First try to change the port it is in...see if that helps. If not try sliding the hold button on top back and forth and then it should come up!!
The first one worked for me when it happened.

Try pressing MENU and the middle button. If that doesn't work, just try to drain the battery until it dies. Mine worked after that. It's happened to me, ya see. I wish you some very good luck!

On your ipod hold the middle button and the menu button together and that should restart your ipod.
