There is no cost per month for iTunes. All you have to do is sign up, have a credit card to pay for the song individually. It's worth it. The iPod is a good choice. The battery lasts a very long time. The accessories are sweet too. I've got a nano. Blue. It was so worth $200. I've known some people that have dropped them, and sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Depends on how high and what you dropped it from. All the songs are 99 cents. Videos - 1.99 Movies -15.00 Audiobooks... Depends. It's totally worth it! I'm listening to iTunes as I type.

Well, for iTunes, you don't have to pay for the software. You just pay for what you download from the iTunes music store, if you buy anything from there.
Songs: $0.99
Albums: Prices Vary
Music Videos: $1.99
TV Shows: $1.99 per episode
Podcasts: Free
International Shorts: $1.99
Movies: $9.99-$14.99
Audiobooks: Prices Vary
Overall iTunes: The Download/installation is free.

Don't use itunes. It is a complete ripoff.

The cheapest site by far is allofmp3.com.

Whereas albums on itunes cost just under £10 you can buy complete albums on allofmp3 for around £1.50 or in some cases less.

The site also offers a much greater library of music in all genres when compared to itunes and you can download music in a greater number of different formats.

iTunes is totally free, and they give you at least 1 and sometimes 2 free songs per week for downloading.

They have: games, music, movies, TV shows and podscasts available on iTunes.

There are a ton of free podcasts, AND there is the iTunes Radio Station as well - with iTunes software open, you can select an iTunes Radio Station and listen to it all day long for free.

You are only charged for items you purchase from iTunes.

You can download the iTunes software directly from Apple here:

iTunes is not a subscription. It is 99 cents to purchase a song forever. That's it.

And yes, the service is great. They INVENTED this industry and still command over 80% of the market.

its like $1USD a song, $2 USD for games (i believe) and $10 USD for movies. It is worth it, if you want a new song. But you can also rip your CD's onto iTunes and put them on an iPod. I say get an iPod! I just got mine and I love it!

itunes doesn't cost anything...you just download it from apple.com. in order to buy songs, you register with them and give them your credit card but you aren't charged unless you buy a song which is usually 99 cents
