people usually say that the teen girls brought it upon herself rather than sympathize with her. Whats wrong with our society?

Because we are still in a Patriarchal society. No matter how far women have come to gain power and respect, the world is still ran by men. Women who are raped by men are in a position of no power. Because the world is ran by men, women will be kept in this position by blaming the incident of them. If they wouldn't have look so good or kept her legs closed, it wouldn't have happened. It is a lie that is perpetuated all the time. By blaming men, men would lose some of the respect and power that they have tried so hard to save. It is messed up, but that is the way it is.

It isn't just teen girls it is rape survivors of any age. I think alot of people will say stupid things like she was wearing blah blah so she asked for it. Well she went out with him so she must have wanted it etc...Then say that they would never do that as a way of protecting themselves like well b/c I don't do this or that then it would never happen to me.

Noone no matter what she was wearing who she was with what she was doing deserves to go through the pain and suffering that the rape and the healing put you through.

No one "deserves" to be raped. However, when a 15 year old goes out with a skirt so short you can see her thong, and a see through top above the belly button without a bra, you can see how some people might think she asked for it.

I have asked myself that ? many, many times but came up with the same answer. The world it a shithole. That;s why I have decided to become a cop. Try not to save the world, you will only end up hurting yourself.
