i have 15 month old twins. as soon as i found out i was pregnant i went and bought Palmers cocoa butter for stretch marks, their regular cocoa butter and their Tummy Butter, all worked fabulous. i got 2 stretch marks, no lie! i rubbed cocoa butter all over my body after every shower and then after they were born, i actually still use the regular cocoa butter that palmers makes. I also used a maternity belt though, and i think the combination of the two really helped me avoid 'twin skin'. i would rub the tummy butter over the areas that really pulled, like on the sides of your tummy, under the belly, etc. as i got bigger, i went through more and more lotion, almost sent us to the poor house, lol. i did use a whooole lot! also, try not to gain weight too fast, because the faster your skin stretches the more likely it is to get stretch marks. good luck!

You may want to stay away from mineral oil(who knows? lol). Try all natural coca butter(it hardens so you'd have to warm it up to soften), jojoba oil. Eat the best fruits for baby n you! Some people are predisposed to stretch marks though, through genes. Only 1 person in my family is overweight, yet we all have stretch marks! Oh and I just found this: * Revitol: This ointment is also 100% natural. Its main ingredients are: * Grape fruit seed extract * Vitamin E * Vitamin A * Vitamin D3 * Squalene Oil It mainly promotes a healthy and moisturized skin. It also increases the production of elastin in our body that consequently enhances the elasticity. * Captiva: This ointment moisturizes and nourishes the damaged skin. Captiva not only treat marks and scars but it also diminishes various other problems such hyper pigmentation, melasma, freckles etc. with ease. Some of the main ingredients of this cream are: * Shea Butter * Aloe Vera * Licorice * Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 * Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract That may at least help.

Massage the area regularly. Stretch marks happen when the skin is stretched too fast, so if you stretch it a little everyday it might not be that bad. Oils that may help are vitamin E, and evening primrose oil. Open the gelcaps and rub the contents directly on the skin. Avoid anything with mineral oil, like Vaseline. Drink plenty of water, and take your prenatal vitamins as well as getting enough fats and oils to maintain your skins health.

There is nothing wrong with stretch marks, girlfriend. Stretch marks and belly fat are badges of honor!
I have used cocoa butter and that derma ointment but I still have some stretch marks. Nothing is guaranteed. Be proud of your body.

Nothing prevents them, unfortunately. You can slather on all the creams and oils you want, but if they're in your genetics, they're there. You can help minimize the marks with the cocoa butter and/or vitamin e oil, but it just helps soften the skin so they're aren't as harsh. drinking lots of water keeps you hydrated and your skin obviously benefits from that.

don't worry about them because worrying does nothing for it. they're your badge of honor for mommyhood, wear them proudly if you get them :)

I've been using cheap body lotion containing vitamin e and aloe vera and a cheap body wash also containing vitamin e and aloe vera. I shop the dollar store or wal-mart (usually Sauve brand). I am 37 weeks and haven't got a stretch mark at all.

Nothing really Prevents strech marks. It all depends on your genes. If your Mom/Aunts/Sisters got them, there is a pretty good chance that you will as well. Try not to excede 30 lbs of weight gain, and stay lubed up as you are growing.

easy, what u have to do it just make sure that u DONT scratch and you can but any types of lotions or cream just make sure that you put lotion or cocoa butter on after a shower or when u firt wake up so your skin stays hydrated, this helps your skin! and it also looks healthier, not to mention iyour skin doesnt crack or stretch out, causing stretch markes
