Seems to be Greenland, but I think the real answer depends on your definition of what an island is.
Because Australia and Antartica are considered to be continents, it doesn't count in the islands list, so Greenland is the largest.
If you mean body of land surrounded by water, then Antartica is your winner.

well greenland is the biggest island but its a country and the island in the usa is long island

Antarctica would be my first guess, unless you consider that a continent, in which case I would next guess Greenland, except that it is disproportionately huge on some maps due to the type of projection used.

Technically Europe/Asia/Africa combined is completely surrounded by water.
So that's the answer.
