I have an Xbox 360 and a Wii. Both are are really good. The Xbox have brought out some awesome Games this year, Take Call of duty 3 (I'm in the UK so this is only on the xbox 360 and Wii) ) Oblivion (who says Xbox 360 doesn't do RPG's this is awesome?!?!) Splinter Cell Double Agent (In HD looks and plays awesome) Gears of War (Amazing)

Those of you who think xbox don't do RPG's well the few which are coming up will be awesome :-

I really do like the media centre aspect of the xbox 360 as well.

In honesterty I may buy a PS3, but probly not untill the price has reduced - £600 is way too pricey - you can buy a wii and an xbox360 and have some spare change.

As for the whole dvd aspect, there is talk of someone already inventing a dvd which can hold the dvd, bluray and hd dvd all on one disc so there may not even be a format war!

Ans: Yes, the UK release of the PS3 should be out by march of 2007.

Question #2: PS3 vs Xbox360?
Ans: Indefinite. If you're talking about hardware, the PS3 is the clear winner (although, PS3 losses on the graphics department by a little bit for the earlier games due to poor lighting compared to the XBOX360).

For the games, not sure.
Are you a Shooter fan? (Halo) then 360 still has the edge since it has Gears of War, Halo 3 (coming soon), and lots more. PS3 though might come out with a few suprises but not as many as XBox has to offer.

Are you a RPG/Fighting game fan? Then i go with PS3. They have the Final fantasy franchise as well as the Tekken franchise. Not to mention it is backward compatible (XBOX360 suffers from this feature since not all XBOX games can play at the XBOX360 machine).

Still, its too early to compare. Wait till 2008 when XBOX could now be compared to PS3.

For now, just stick with the old platforms. I dont see too many interesting games out yet. ^_^

i would agree technology wise the ps3 will be superior and i dont mean with the blue ray drive and hard drive space because the xbox360 will sometime in the future have a blue ray drive done for it and harddrive space means nothing because you can hook the xbox upto you pc and share harddrive space with that (i dono if the ps3 can but it probly will) but ultimately it comes down to what sort of games you like eg:
FPS/TPS the xbox360 all the way
RPGS then its the ps3 all the way
nomatter what it will come down to what games the consoles get because lets face it you buy a console to play games on not because its got alot of flashy thing and not because everbody else has one
well thats my opinion anyway

and i think the wii is a good idea because in combines playing games and exersize eg:
gold tennis and that sort of thing

I heard that rumour through the grapvine too.. My Brother works in Game and if you were to ask Sony this morning if they are still going ahead with March release in Europe, the answer to the public is yes but inhouse is definatly no.!! They want to try and sort out the existing problems with the console in Japan and the U.S. first before releasing anymore. They may sort out the glitches and redesign before release in March but it doesnt look likely. It seems Sony are far from happy with it and didnt want to release in Japan until 2nd quarter of 2007 but for public demand.
I would bet a weeks pay we wont see it in March, probably be july or August but with the sales of games and consoles so poor during the Summer months dont be shocked to see it held back until November or December to build up puiblic demand and for the Christmas market.
Not the news i wanted to hear either I was gutted to hear that but in hindsight i would rather wait for the perfect console than get one sooner that crashes, stalls and doesnt play all ym old ps2 games:)
As for the 2nd part of your question, there is no competition in my opinion. I know this will upset alot of xbox disciples:))
The xbox is a fantastic machine, great graphics, online gaming is 2nd to none, great games (gears of war covers all of these three examples) and if you were to buy today or in the next 3 months xbox is way to go. BUT... and this is the big swing here.. xbox are bringing out a HD-DVD plasyer add-on. PS3 has Blu Ray player istalled already, both do the same thing amazing picture quality on DVD but one of these two consoles is going to sell you the new beta video recorder.. which one is going to take off no-one really knows.. Prob Blu-Ray it has all the big backers.. Sony, Apple,Disney, MGM, Century Fox etc. all in all, this time next year ps3 will be mopping the floor with XBox due to the amount of technology in the console,but not before then Sit on it till Christmas next year and treat yourself then:))

the games are cheaper

and has an amazing and unique controlling system,,, plus in usa and japan its outselling the ps3 2 to 1 and the xbox 360 4 to 1,,,,

I dont think its any better than an Xbox 360. I have an Xbox 360 and its awesome. I love how you can stream music,pictures, and videos from you computer. Also you can rent movies off of Xbox live and other stuff.The 360 is just a better deal.

I am sure it is better than the 360 but my cousin just got the PS3 and I have a Nintendo Wii. He payed $600 US dollars for his and I payed $250 US dollars and he says he likes the Wii a lot better and that it has features that you cant get anywhere else...

XBOX360=CANT EVEN DO THE HALF PS3 CAN
WII= A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
