Sorry for posting this in the Comp and Internet section, but since my question has to do with an online game, I'm hoping someone would know this. I have a young cousin who will be staying with me for a while and uses the internet alot. That scares me of him going on to wrong websites and getting hooked. (There is always someway around parental controls : (
Anyways I need to see if such a game exists online where he could become hooked to that for a short while.
Couple years back there used to be a game where you had a character, and you were given a link to your profile. Everytime somebody clicked on that link, your character strength grew by 1. You had the options of attacking other people and stealing their money/weapons etc.
I would like to know if such games still exist? And are they safe as in free of malacious spyware etc? Thank you so much, and happy new year.

Yes, unfortunately there are still some games like that. www.kingsofchaos.com is one. You are unlikely to get malware off these sites, generally a file must be downloaded in order to infect the computer
However i would not be too worried about him playing such games, there are worse and more addictive games. My advice to you would be to supervise him.

they have games that even i am hooked on...but now i play pokemon so what difference does it make?

Maplestory exists like that. Though there are some really big jerks on it.
