This indicator shows that the car is overdue for a scheduled maintenance. It is usually a good idea to take the car in to a Mercedes dealership to get the work done, as items such as hoses and belts are replaced at this time. This is usually preventitive maintenance, as it is better to replace a $50 belt than a >$300 pump. It is best to do this at a dealership than a independent shop, unless you know the shop well and it has a very good reputation. The dealership may have a special tool that resets this indicator, otherwise if you just want to reset the light use an OBD-II code reader. This plugs in to a little socket under the dashboard and allows you to read and reset the signals that turn the lights on.

Method 1. Have the suggested maintenance done, and the dealer will reset the reminder light.
Method 2. Read the manual for instructions how to reset the light, and do what it says.

The warning is there for a reason. Get it serviced or checked by a mechanic.
