Rewrite each question with the divisor as a whole number. Calculate each answer.

0.06÷0.2
0.72÷0.3
0.05÷15.5
0.4÷28.4
(the divisor is the number that the first number is being divided by. e.g. in 10÷2=5, 2 is the divisor)

All you have to do is move the decimal point in both the divisor and the dividend (the number you are dividing).

For example, let's take your first question. To change 0.2 to a whole number, you have to move the decimal one place to the right. Then you have to move the decimal in the dividend one place to the right (0.06 becomes 0.6).

Basically, what you are doing is multiplying both the divisor and the dividend by a factor of ten. In all of the questions you list, you are multiplying both by 10 to change to divisor to a whole number.

You can move the decimal point for the divisor to the right or left if you move it for the dividend also. So .06 / .2 is the same is saying .6 / 2. Your question asks for the divisor to be a whole number, so every number to the right side of the division sign (the divisor by definition) needs to have the decimal moved to the right until it is a whole number. I will do the first two, you do the rest.

0.06÷0.2 = 0.6 ÷ 2 = .3
0.72÷0.3 = 7.2 ÷ 3 = 2.4

I think what you have to do is move the decimals over so that each one is a whole number... like it would be 2/.6 ( you have to move the decimal over the same number of places for the divisor and the dividend. and then just divide as usual.

To figure out where to put the decimal in the answer, just move the decimal directly up.

***in #1, what you do is move the decimal point over to the right one for the decimal to become a whole number thus 0.2 becomes 2. however, since you moved it over one for the divisor you also have to do that for the first number thus 0.06 becomes 0.6 and your answer is 0.6/2. you do this for all of the problems.
