It is currently the second longest suspension bridge in the United States after the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge (between the boroughs of Staten Island and Brooklyn) in New York City. There are truss arches and truss causeways on the bridge.

It is gorgeous.

The second longest suspension bridge outside New York? You have no idea what you are talking about. The Bay Bridge, also in San Francisco, is much longer than the Golden Gate and the suspension section alone is twice as long.
