It's on CNN right now....loops through every 30 minutes or so. You can even read more about it on the net site for CNN. They did not release the reports of the sighting until now. The pilots that saw the UFO are stating that they know it was not a weather related issue and that it was definitely a metal craft. People are making jokes out of it, but there are several different people and all are credible. It's going to be interesting.

People are unaware that there is a huge effort by NASA and an outfit called Spacewatch to find and catalog all the NEOs - Near Earth Objects. These are are asteroids and meteoroids that cross Earth orbit and therefore have a chance of bumping into us some time in the future.
The point is that the fantastic automatic camera-telescopes they use are photographing the heavens 24/7 and 365 days a year. They do not keep coming across alien UFOs.
Aliens are only seen by drongos who know nothing about space, aircraft, birds, atmospheric phenomena and so on.
The experts will call something they cannot immediately identify, a UFO. That does not mean, or ever mean, that it is an alien spacecraft.
And NASA and the Spacewatch are looking at the entire sky - not just the limited area around an airport, like the airport controllers.
Nobody on Earth has seen an extra-terrestial. Those who say they have are either liars, on drugs, mental, or just have over-active imaginations.

to air traffic controllers, a UFO is literally just an unidentified flying object. this was not really an alien spacecraft. however, someone incorrectly made the link between an unregistered airplane and aliens and this story took off. it just took a little while for the word to get around
this is no conspiracy. if you want those, then you should look elsewhere

Why is it that every bit of fireworks is believed to be a UFO... you know what I'd like to know? Why aren't there any Astronomers reporting UFOs?! They're watching the sky as a full time job, and not even once did any one of them report a UFO. You know why? They know what they're looking at, as opposed to the common (and rather idiotic) man.

Air traffic controllers have equipment that would detect a flying object.
They have to know what it is and where it is,seems like a bit of a fairy tale to me!
I guess a small plane could have entered part of there air space and gotten away without being intercepted.

It wasn't air traffic controllers -- it was ramp workers for United Airlines.
I'm not saying they didn't see anything -- they very well may have. But just because they saw "something" doesn't mean they saw an alien ship...:) It just means they saw something that none of them could identify.
