When I first heard that Gerald Ford died, I was sort of shocked but sort of not you know cause he was old. I've been feeling sad for him and his family but I think he is in a better place now.

I'm just happy he lived a long and happy life. Although his family is showing grief, I'm sure they think the same.

I am saddened by his death and i feel sorry for his wife, Betty and thier family. Watching her with all the tv coverage, she's so frail and has yet remained so strong during all of this, and my heart really goes out to her. She's one of the best First Ladies we have had, and as a former Michigan resident, it's wonderful to see the unity despite the sad occasion. He was a good man, led a good life and we can learn from his legacy. May he rest in peace.

I was sad. I was more sad when Reagan died because I worked in DC when he was there. But Gerald Ford is possibly the first Pres. I really remember.

I was sad - I remembered seeing him ride through my city in an open convertible, many years ago. He waved at me, and I was thrilled. It was the President of the United States!

He was the last of the truly great Presidents. No one who has succeeded him will ever come close to equaling his humanity, compassion, and his stature as a great leader. I will truly miss him...

He lived a long full life. It's sad when any human life ends but I didn't cry or anything.
