My truck just started sounding like a diesel and it sounds like it's idled too high and like it wants to cut off. I went to a gas station that I never went to before do you think it could have been bad gas help.

change the oil and get new gas
it could be bad gas (water in the gas)
also try a gas stabilazer

You probably put high octane fuel in your engine. This is called ping. Drain out almost all of that fuel and go get the right fuel, usually 87-89 octane is the best. Unless of course you accidently filled up with diesel, then you will have to completely drain and flush out the fuel system, and change the fuel filter(s) in the vehicle.
