It's not as bad as it seems. I've had both a vaginal delivery and a c-section. Ironically I found the c-section easier than the vaginal birth. In fact, I went to work only 3 weeks after my c-section. I was up moving around more quickly than with my vaginal delivery. If I had to choose between the two, I would definitely choose the c-section. That is just my personal choice. My episotomy was much more uncomfortable than my c-section scar. One thing though, I was put to sleep for my section b/c I have such a high tolerance to medication and I could feel sensations on my abdomen. So I wasn't awake and my husband wasn't with me and my baby was depressed at birth b/c of the medication. But other than that everything was fine. I'm sure you'll be fine, take good care of yourself, and enjoy your new baby. Happy New Year.

The first one is always scarey not knowing what to expect or anything me myself had 3 and the first one was emergency so it took alot longer to recover but the last two were scheduled and a spinal tap not an epidural. It seems to take longer but at the end you will love it. Take care of your little one. They say also that babies born that way are a little lazy I wouldn't know because I have not had a regular birth before. Good luck and Take care.

I have had to have 3 of them. I aked to be sedated for the first two and the for my last one I was awake...I think that the last one was the scary one for me because I was able to see and hear what was going on. It will take a while for your body to recover, but it is well worth it when you are able to hold your baby. Good Luck!

With a c-section, they will numb you so you won't feel anything. Thjey will seperate you with a blanket so you don't see what's happening.
You can request to listen to relaxation music or bring headphones and a cd player or your ipod, while they are delivering your baby.
Don't sweat it, enjoy!
