I would bring up the fact that the Earth has been warming since the last ice age. Also carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere from many sources, not just man.

hmmm well as far as writing your paper goes, Gore pretty much sums up the effects and causes of global warming just write your introduction based on what you feel is false or you disagree with, then use the body of your paper to explain why and close it with what you feel is the truth, use reputable sources for your reasoning, not just it sounds good, make sure you use citations, then post it on the net somewhere for all to read, cause i guarantee you won't find a reputable, college educated, expert in the field of climatology, meteorology, geology, hydrology, or basically any other scientific field who'll disagree that global warming is occuring at an alarming rate, did anyone read the article about the 25 square mile chunk of ice falling into the ocean? No event has occured like that in recorded history... The world is going to end soon, whether it be from terrible politics causing wars, mother nature getting too pissed off, or god eventually saying screw you all and throwing a meteor at us, we probably won't be here much longer

Al Gore made several points in the documentary An Inconvenient Truth. Although I agree with some, there are some that I do not.

Aside from the fact that almost nothing in his mocumentary is supportable by any legitimate science, the world is simply going through a cycle of heating and cooling. Even recent evidence from Russia shows that part of the natural cycle involves a major heating which is due to happen quite soon as ice-trapped gases are released. All of human activity has maybe sped things up by two or three years, if that, which is insignificant in geological time.

Not having seen the mocumentary I can't directly comment on it, I hope the information helps.

Argue against the idea that global warming is bad. Wouldn't it be better to be warmer? Less ice and snow, more sunny days, more butterflies and warm puppies. These so-called "scientists" just want everybody to be cold and miserable.

Rhetorically ask " Hasn't the Earth been warming since the last Ice Age?"
