I don't know what neighborhood you live in but there are humping cats everywhere..maybe it just depends on where you live.
Wait till spring time..I am sure you see them all over the place

Where I live the neighbors hump all over the place, I had to kick two of them out of the communal hallway earlier as I couldn't get up the stairs, well that's a bit of a fib actually, they'd never have seen me if my phone hadn't bleeped, note to self, leave mob indoors next time.

Haven't you ever heard a cat in heat late at night???? It is an unforgettable sound, believe me. Annoying!!!!
I guess they choose to get together at night around my neighborhood just to annoy us.
