I once witnessed two different people on different occasions referring to the same child (not theirs) as a "special delivery".

I presume it means caesarean birth?

I guess I am not not up on my baby jargon. Is this expression, as it pertains to human beings, a common one? What does it mean?

I am not even sure under which category I should be posting this question.

Shamar: Oh? So you have heard it too.
She didn't possibly mean that the child had the same possible father as Rosemary's Baby? (refer to film by the same name)
