I think that it is right for you to marry whom ever God gives you to marry.

First of all make sure they are the opposite sex, not related to you, of age, and not under your authority. Secondly, make sure they share your goals and interests and faith. Who's to be let down if you are then happy and you've played by the rules that count? Nobody is a "pure" race anymore. Isn't that bigotry in reverse to say one must marry their same skin color because it's dark? You might likely have more in common if you did but it's choice.

Aside from sheer old-fashioned beliefs, many parents teach you this because they know relationships are hard enough without throwing in extra troubles like varying beliefs and cultures. However, it's perfectly possible to date someone of a different race who has the same values as you. And even if you chose to date someone with different values, it's still your decision to make.

I know that my whole life I was taught the same way; no one outside of your race. But times have changed. All we hear day in day out is that we should all be treated equally. Who is not to say that doesn't go in relationships too!?!

It's never easy to date outside your race if your family and/or friends expect you not to. Truth is everyone is created equal, and you should never not date anyone because of their race. It won't be easy going against what is expected of you, but if you don't become you're own person now, you never will.

Marriage requires love and people should have love for everyone even those who are different.
The notion of keeping everything in the race is antiquated and should be dissolved.
They only way the future will be better is if we start to change now.

It is your life, and your attractions and if you are lucky the love of your life. You should be with who you want to be with. Explain to your family that it hurts that they don't want to accept who you are with and it is almost like they won't accept that side of who you are when they do that. Hopefully they will understand that race isn't the question. It is the person who matters.

you are not letting your own race down by being attracted to other races. inter-racial relationships are very common today and I don't see anything wrong with it.
would you rather be with someone that you are not attracted to?

Race shouldn't matter. We're all people. You fall in love with a person, not the color of their skin.
Plus, there's only one race. The Human race.
