What is the song called that is played at all the president's funerals including Ford's that is played by the bag pipes? This song is played by the bag-pipes and I am just wondering what it is called.

Usually "Amazing Grace" is played with the pipes as well. I believe "Taps" is just a bugle call, though the second verse often has words

Hope this is what you're looking for.

The tune is called Amazing Grace and is played at almost all funerals - not just for presidents. I'm surprised that you recognized the tune because the piper was downright awful!!. He absolutely butchered a very beautiful tune.

I think they just play Amazing Grace...I remember a piper playing that when Reagan died three years ago.
