Women who follow football know a lot about the sport. I love it!! I am a season ticket holder (have been for years) and never miss a home game. A lot of the women i know are more knowledgeable than some of the men when it comes to football. Grounds around the country cater more and more for the female supporter. So guys!! Get used to it.

Why do men think they do or should know about football?
They try to be considerate of what men generally like and try to look up on a few things, so sew them if they're not right all the time!
They make an effort; men are hardly noticing the little things that women do.
Generally, this is a very sexist answer in response to a very sexist question.

Surely this question has been posted just to provoke a response! As much as many men still 'joke' about women knowing nothing about football, most accept that there are plenty of women around who have an excellent knowledge of the game.

I don't think I know abut football, I KNOW I do! I've been interested in football for the best part of 40 years, so I think there is a chance I do know what I'm talking about.
It's nothing to do with impressing blokes, or ogling the players. I just love the game, End of.

I am a woman and well i follow football and I would say judging on my level of knowledge in my office its quite simple to say I know more about football than most of the blokes in our office if not all of them and they all follow football teams and boast they know everything about football. I don't think I Know about football I just do. This is not to do blokes heads in I couldn't care less I show a genuine interest and even know the off side rule. Now if there is something wrong with that well blow me side ways. OK lets ask this question why do men think they can drive? or why do men think they can do everything better than a women? can u multi task?
The problem is there are alot of narrow minded people in this world and extremely sexist and its supposed to be a world of equal opportunities well I question that with the question u have just asked. If u think about it deep down u know the answer to your own question its just laziness asking such pathetic useless questions. And on that note good evening. I hope you can see outside of the box u seem to be contained in

Look, I am a woman and I KNOW about football. Can't a woman love sports? I also like basketball. Why do men think they KNOW everything about football when the referee is organizing the game??? Or someone like a referee.

Thank you.
It's chauvinists like you that give the rest of us males a bad name.
This may come as a shock - but women are intelligent human beings!
That means that they can, and often do, know stuff about stuff!
If a woman is interested in football then she is interested in football
she may like it so much that she gets to know players of the teams, history, league standings, blah blah blah.
Your a sad man if you think that women SHOULDN'T know about football.

So when we have to watch it all day long, like yesterday (assuming that we, too just want to lie around on New Year's day and spend time with our sig. other) we have a clue about what is going. I don't think I need to know ALL about it, nor do I think I do, but it's nice to be able to follow along. Makes it more enjoyable. But also leads to a lot of questions that seem to be annoying...it is a means of hanging out, doing something with the guys in our lives.

The reason is because we are people too. I happen to work for a pro football team and if It weren't for my organizational and management skills, they would have been lost. I feel that is a very sexist question and you probably offened a lot of the female population.
