tell your parents and invite them to have it as well.
WHY NOT?

You should just respect your parents. I don't have it either, my parents don't like it. Here is an idea: Delete everything from your myspace for the moment, and have a talk with your dad. Ask him if you can just sign up for the myspace, so you can talk to your friends, but not put up any photos or personal information. And make sure you are only talking to people you know. There are also other sites, such as xango, ringo, and bebo that are considered safer for teens to use. Don't post any photos or personal info, and you should be fine. I feel left out a lot, too, because all of my best friends have it, and I don't...but wouldn't you rather be safe and alive than have a myspace? A lot of bad things have come out of myspaces, you can't deny that. Just be honest and be careful...also, my best friend lied about herself on her myspace to keep her name and age a secret...her name is Skye, and on her myspace, she is J Starr--the Austrailian Supermodel! That may be something to consider...good luck! And whatever you do, don't listen to Alex D.

First of all, you shouldn't have made one if you weren't allowed to make one in the first place. Parents set rules to protect their children and not just to punish them. Since you have one, yes I really do think you should tell your dad for your own safety. There's a lot of weirdo's on myspace so just be honest about it. I'm pretty sure he'll be upset that you went ahead and got one anyway but tell him the reason why you want it - to keep in contact with your friends. Show him how it works and try and work something out with him so you can keep your myspace. Just in case he still tells you NO, please just listen and maybe later on he'll be more open to letting you have one.

I won't let my kids have a myspace account either-because there are tons of weirdo's on there and it isn't a place for children to be. You can talk to your friends by phone or by e-mail. As for telling your Dad you should do what is in your heart, you know the right thing to do.

oh the myspace question
thats a hard one because theres so many things on the news that say people get hurt and go missing
so why dont you find a different chat room so you can still talk to your friends and your dad will agree its safe
theres AIM and yahoo and MSN
ya i had one to but i was allowed but wen i put my pic on there he erased it so ya it is kinda dangerous so wat ever you do be carefull ok
but just tell you dont do anything but talk to your friends
and maybe he will agree
trust me i no me friends have one but im not allowed my they also have a yahoo

have fun and be safe

You should tell him and make your profile private and then show him your myspace and prove to him that nobody can see your myspace if it is private. Make sure he understands that you really want to keep in touch with all of your old friends and maybe he will understand.

Be honest. If he finds out he will be very angry. If my daughter was younger I wouldn't allow her to have one, either. There are so many freaks out there. Stay safe, little girl!
