No. I think that it was the right thing to do but there is a couple of things that had to be factored. One is the there are people that still support him and by airing his death will only create problems amongst the different religious sects. Second is that this an internal affair and should have been left that way.

I may watch it but doesn't mean that I like it . It was very cheap on that part of Bush administration and New Iraqi Government to take the civilization to 18 th century "eye for an eye " punishment regimes .
Saddam was no angel but now he is a hero in the eyes of the world (the world doesn't mean USA there are other countries in the map too ).By toppling Saddam US had done biggest mistake of changing the Sunni -Shia equation in middle east and it going to be tougher of US in the coming days.

no not at all actually what they showed was too much.if it were you would you want the whole world watching you go to your death,i don't think so.he may have done some real unspeakable things in his life but death is a private thing between him and god .i wouldn't want to be humiliated in front of the whole world during my last minutes here on this earth.did you ever hate someone so much and at the same time feel sorry for them?.did you ever hear the saying if your going to kill me at least let me go out with some of my didnity.that means a lot to everyone,i don't care how bad a person he or she might be. when all is lost our dignity is all we have left. when confronted with anything like that just put the shoe on the other foot and think how you would feel.trust me you will know what to do. good luck. pete

I watched it and he had a surprised look on his face when the trap door sprung open! It caught him in mid-sentence and it completely severed his cervical spine from the rest of his spine!
You can watch it on youtube!
I would have an issue with anyone watching it who wasn't at least 30, so I guess the answer is no to General broadcast!! Everyone knows he's dead!

No. We don't live in a time when executions are a public curiosity. To go back to that would be a big step backwards in civilization.

Yes and Yes.
To those people who've mentioned that it's on youtube or the internet. Not everyone has internet access.
Rate it "M" or "NC-17" and the people who don't want to see it don't have to and they can set their V-Chip so that no one else in their household can watch it either.
It is history and people should have a chance to see it.

Not only would I watch it, I would rent it on pay per view if I had too!
It is definitely not for everyone, but I for one would thoroughly enjoy watching that worm squirm for his life.
