So i borrowed my friends poker set for photo class (I choose gambling as a theme for my pictures) and one deck was sealed and the other was not. So i took the open one and took pictures. Over time, they got a bit messed up (ripped, dirty, box broke) and I don't want to tell him, I want to get 2 new boxes of cards and put those in instead. (I cannot find the design on the back of the cards anywhere). My question is:
The box says "Playingcards No.99 Plastic Coated" and I just want to know if these are special cards?
I mean you can play poker with any cards right?
So would it be ok for me to get 2 new decks and just (switch" them with the ones in there now? (Not put new cards in old box, BUT get 2 new boxes all together)

thanks.

no they are not very special cards you can get him a nice new deck (like bicycle) and give him back the unopened deck and the ripped cards incase they have sentemental value

The best thing to do is straight out tell him, off to buy him a new deck of cards if'n ye want, but if you don't want to do that and jus' but new cards, but him a deck on WSOP cards, cause' those are very good cards. Good luck with that :D

Your best bet would be to be honest with your friend and tell him you didnt use the sealed cards but the ones you used got damaged and ask if he would like them replaced with a certain kind or if he would like to pick some out and you pay him for them. Honesty is best if you want people to be honest with you.

Put the cards back and If your friend says anything, tell him that is how the cards were when you recieved them. If he knows you are lying, punch him in the face and find a new friend.

he key word to this question is plastic coated. plastic coated cards last longer, it is harder to tear or bend them and if they get dirty you can wipe them off withb damp cloth then towel dry them and even powder them. so if you want to replace them be nice and get plastic coated ones they aren't that exspensive.

See if he is ok with it, if not give him money so he can buy them again.

Dont be scared now.
