The Press Corpse


This song was written in dedication of the mainstream-corporate media, in particular Judith Miller and the New York Times, who failed miserably in their role as The People's investigative watchdog of the powerful and instead acted as a stenographer for the White House in the lead up to the invasion of Iraq.

It is also dedicated to the Bush White House for successfully intimidating and shutting out any reporters who questioned their distortions, half-truths and lies in the build up to the war, and continue to do so. Most of all, this song was written in dedication of Democracy Now! as well as a handful of other courageous journalists for getting it right on Iraq for continuing to report it like it is while the others report what is safe, and for putting integrity before profit.
