24 or 25 dollors a day.

Depending on how much the expertise of the babysitter has. If she just feeds the baby and changes the baby while watching tv, then pay around $10 an hour. If the babysitter knows cpr, does activities with the baby to build their minds, installs a webcam so you can view the baby at anytime on the internet, etc....
Then pay around $15-$20 an hour. Of course, it also matters on your salary, if you don't make that much, then pay what you can. But do not pay her minimum wage either.

I would say that most daycare centers make roughly 9$ per hour per child so if your using a babysitter that is going to only focus on your child and not have to worry about 10 others then I would keep the salary close to what you would get charged by a daycare. If the babysitter is a good one and you want to keep her as your sitter, take good care of her and she'll take good care of your baby. I suggest 7-9$ per hour.
