FOIL

(9rad5*rad3) + (9rad5*rad7) + (-rad8*rad3) + (-rad8*rad7)

9rad(5*3) + 9rad(5*7) - rad(8*3) - rad(8*7)

9rad15 + 9rad35 - rad24 - rad56

9rad15 + 9rad35 - rad(4*6) - rad(4*14)

9rad15 + 9rad35 - 2rad6 - 2rad14

F.O.I.L. - first outter inner last. take the first number of the first bracket and multiply it with the first number of the 2nd bracket. then second number of the 2nd brackets. then the 2nd number in the first bracket multiply it by the 1st number inthe second bracket then do the same to the 2nd number in the 2nd bracket
1. 9rad5 x rad3 = 9rad15
+
2. 9rad5 x rad7 = 9rad35
-
3. -rad8 x rad3 = -rad24
-
4. -rad8 x rad7 = -rad56

ps your answer is wrong and the correct is 9rad15+9rad35-rad24-rad56

You use the foil method, but first you should simplify the expression.
rad8=(rad4)(rad2)=2rad2
now you have ...
(9rad5-rad8)(rad3+rad7)
use the FOIL method, first, outer, inner, last.
(9rad5*rad3)+(9rad5*rad7)-(2rad2*rad3)-(2rad2*rad7)
now multiply and you'll get 9rad15+9rad35-2rad6-2rad14.

x² + 8x = sixty 5 could be written as: x² + 8x - sixty 5 = 0. it somewhat is written as: x² + 13x - 5x - sixty 5 = 0. => x(x + 13) - 5(x + 13) = 0. So, x = 5 or 13. _____________________________________ x² + 3x - 31 = -3 could be written as: x² + 3x - 31+ 3 = 0. it somewhat is written as: x² + 7x - 4x - 28 = 0 => x(x + 7) - 4(x + 7) = 0. So, x = -7 or 4. in case you inquire from me a thank you to chop up the middle term, you should do in a single of those way, that the sum of two numbers is the coefficient of 'x' and the made from the two numbers is the consistent term. the two numbers that i'm declaring right it somewhat is the two values for 'x'.

Well, you can apply this rule:

(A - B)(C + D) = A(C+D) - B (C+ D)

Apply that to what you were given:
substitute 9rad5 for A, and so on. Do whatever multiplication, addition and subtraction you can to simplify the result. You should get the right answer.

I got 9rad15+9rad 35-rad 24-rad 56.

(9x1rad(5x3))+(9x1rad(5x7))+-(1x1rad(8x3))+-(1x1rad(8x7))
which gives you...
9rad15+9rad 35-rad 24-rad 56
