You can't shrink flares...shrinking them will only make them too tight and small for you. My advice see if a tailor can fix them for you, see if the company makes a skinny or bootcut jean in the same style, or just take a deep breath and... rock those flares!!!!!

Take them to the cleaners and tell them to get rid of the flare and make them into a skinny jean or less flared; they'll know what you mean. That's what I do when I buy flared jeans.

Wash them in hot water, and machine dry them. But it might not help with the flare. I suggest you try bleaching, and drying them,then dying them and maybe painting a design of your own some where on them.

Nicole, your best bet if you can't return them and exchange them for straight fit is to find a good tailor. Shrinking them in the wash won't work, and you'll end up fading them out if you wash them too much. If they fit well, they're worth spending the money on a tailor.
