I've always had a problem with making friends, not because i'm mean, rude, drama or anything like that. no one even gives me a chance. i try all the time to talk to other people, with girls they just give me a dirty look. and i don't talk to many guys because i'm in a relatioship, i have a few friends at work but they don't like hanging out after work. any tips on how to approach people?

I'm pretty shy when it comes to making friends, too, but I found that it really helps to start a good conversation. Find someone to talk to and see what they're into. Usually it's pretty easy to find something to talk about that everyone seems to have in common (like music). If you feel that you and this person could be good friends try suggesting hanging out sometime outside of work (if that's the case). Perhaps you could go see a movie or you could get several people to go out at one time. The more people there are the more likely someone is to tag along. And it never hurt to have a little confidence in yourself, I'm sure you have plenty to offer someone as a friend!

I wish I knew myself. I don't know your age but I am an older person and to this day, I don't have friends to hang out with. People seem to be in their own little world, too busy or just don't want to hang out as friends.

Sorry I can't help just wanted to voice my opinion that there are a lot of people in the same situation.
