Kellie Shanygne Williams is the name of the actress that played Laura Winslow.
Lately she had dropped the "Shanygne" off the name and had appeared as a guest on a couple of TV shows such as "The Parkers" and "Eve". She is currently working on a movie called "Steppin: The Movie" which I would think has to do with the "step" shows at "smokers" in the black "Greek" fraternities/sororities.
BTW, on another interesting trivia...Jaimee Foxworth, who played Judy, the sister that all of a sudden disappeared off the show, became a porn star known as "Crave". She no longer does that.
