in my family all the girls have male first names and extremely feminie middle names...usually the names are also very long.

How about Malachi? There's a saint by that name who was male, but my mom had a neighbor who named her little girl Malachi and no one knew if it was male or female name- it was just unusual.
Don't give her a name everyone else has- Ashley is SOOO overused.
Don't give her a name that's distinctly masculine either or she'll get teased.
Do give her something original, distinctive: try and imagine an old lady in a nursing home answering to that name with dignity (and trust me, Brandi, Tiffani and Brytney do NOT give you dignity!
I attended a scientific conference where a beautiful woman scientist gave a lecture- and her name was Pebbles! What a horrible name for a scientist!
Go with a surname- Harper, Taylor (overused), Sydney; these can all double as first names.
Traditions are nice but be kind- she has to answer to that monikker for a lifetime. I always hated my name- Gidget. That's Dr. Gidget to you.
(just kidding...)
And if you can't decide, you have up to a week or so- the nurses tried to bully me into naming my #3 child but we couldn't agree. We signed the paper minutes before discharge- Brendan. (I won!)

I like Kennedy, actually its one of the names I have chosen. I seen a little girl once on vacation and her name was Kennedy, it's a very pretty name. I also know a girl named Tyler, and I think it's too boyish. What about Taylor? It's a unisex name, but more common on males. I've also heard Jackson for a girl too! Good luck and Congrats!

I think Ryan could be a very strong girl's name. I also like Kennedy, but what would you call her for short? I know a Landon who is very masculine so that doesn't click for me. Tyler is overused already and Jacob I'm not sure

Definitely not Jacob to me that is all male.. how about Rhiannon instead of Ryan? Or Frankie or Charlie or maybe a unisex name like Shannon or Kieran? Of the ones you have Kennedy seems the most female. But I think of the family or the airport.

Definitely not landon or jacob. The other ones sound good. Also think about Logan. I like ryan the best, and I actually know 3 girls at my school named ryan!

Robin/Robyn is a good male name, also.
Tyler's not too bad.
You could have Toni, which is a girl's name but close to the variant Tony. Also, there's Ashley (male)/Ashleigh (female).
Out of your list I would choose Tyler, the most common among girls (as far as I know). Landon doesn't sound bad; a bit like "London."
Hope this helps :)

Why not give her a female name that she can shorten to a more boyish version if she wishes? She'll go through life with people anticipating her being male, which may be a disadvantage later on.
One thing people don't consider is the impact of misleading names on things like Social Security or Medicare. If you get in the system with a wrong gender (it happens - a lot), it will take a LOT of effort to clean up and may affect the amount of payments you get.
