Having supported Swansea City (Trundle's current team) for 15 years and having watched him play countless times I feel qualified to answer this....

It all depends on which Lee Trundle turns up to the match... On his day, Trundle has the ball control and the skills to beat any player... but more often than not, he drifts in and out of games. Still managed to score 20+ goals the past 3 seasons though, albeit at League 1 and 2 level. Think he could have played at a higher level, but he only turned professional at 25/6 after signing from Rhyl to Wrexham. This time last year he had scored 17 goals in League one for Swansea and was playing the best football of his career, he was being (or was rumoured to) chased by several clubs including Everton and Portsmouth, but he stayed, and the media hype seemed to have an adverse effect on him and he went drastically off the boil for the rest of the season. This coincided with Swansea's obismal run of results, and we just scraped into the playoffs, got to the final... and lost to bloody Barnsley on penalties. If Trundle had kept his form, maybe we would've stayed top of the table.

Does one player "make" a team....

No, but.... he can make a hell of a difference.

As to is he better than Ronaldinho... Not a chance in hell, but he's the Ronaldinho of League 1 ;-)
