Today you are in the eighth grade and already talking about the NFL. Let me tell you that there are 1,000,000 player talking about the NFL, one-third will play high school football, one-third will get a scholarship , one of those will make it to the active roster in college and only a third will get thirteen game tapes. The best one third will be invited to the Indianapolis Combine, only one third of those invited will get drafted. You chances in the eighth grade is 1: 5,000 chance.

To improve those chances, you need to concentrate on being a good student athlete so that you are eligible academically for a scouted college or university. You need to also concentrate on building your community roster as well. Volunteer and be a role model in the community. THe NFL is looking for more than talent they are lookinbg for character and integrity. Stay away from drugs, alcohol and fast women. Concentrate on your career -- look at some shining example to emulate like Chris Leak (fla); Maxx Starks (Steelers);

Dude. Hold up a second.

Your question is like a 13 year old hottie saying "do I stand a chance at Miss America?"

Lots of people want that position, and only a few get there. Work toward your dream (including .. ahem .. working hard in school so you can get into a good college) and have a fallback plan if it doesn't work out.

Good luck, however it works out.

Of course it's too early to tell, since you still have some more growing to do. You will probably need to bulk up to at least 200 lbs by the time you're ready for college. The pro game likes their backs who are strong and athletic. With your track record already, I think the future looks bright.

If you work incredibly hard and have a 40 time under 4.45 by your senior year in high school. Also bulk up to about 200lbs by your senior year, and since when do they keep state records for 8th graders?

My personal opinion is in 8th grade you shouldn't be worried about the NFL. There is really no way to predict that, and you have better things to focus on.
