I always did think Marshall Matt Dillon and Miss Kitty made a great couple.

It was Marshall Matt Dillon and Miss Kitty Russell that were the item in Dodge City, Kansas.
Both characters were on the radio broadcast as well as the television broadcast. The only difference in the characters was Miss Kitty had to clean up her act for the TV show. On the radio show her reputation was not as sterling as it was on TV. It was thought the TV audience would not allow the hero to pursue a fallen woman.

The show was "Gunsmoke" starring James Arness as Marshal Matt Dillon whose girlfriend was Kitty who ran The Longbranch Saloon
It was set in Dodge City and his deputy was the first role for Dennis Weaver of any note

It was Gunsmoke with Ms. Kitty and Matt Dillon! Oh that Ms.Kitty she had it something awful for that Marshall Matt Dillon! I still say they got together before Dodge became inc. LOL!!!
