I believe that almost all of what goes on at Gitmo is legitimate and necessary.
The things that happened at Abu Ghraib were horrible and sick and the chain of command above the individual soldiers encouraged it and should have been prosecuted.
The secret prisons are what really worries me...

Guantanamo prison seems pretty well run. The abuses by US personnel in abu-Ghraib prison were bad and illegal by US standards. They are like nothing, compared to the abuses at abu-Ghraib under Saddam Hussein. Maybe the place should have been torn down; it has cooties.
