I buy things off of ebay all the time I myself have not had a problem and hopefully never will. You do have to be careful about what you do bid on. For example if you were out bid on an item and you get a thing for a second time offer don't take it and try not to buy items from over seas if you can help it the money differs. If you pay through paypal you are garrenteed the item sooner than paying with something else.
You can also go into the ebay thing and learn more about it if you want.
Go to my summary and the related link at the bottom and click on the buyers guid and it will tell you things that you may or may not know.
Hope I helped a little.

You can easily get ripped off if you arent aware of what you are buying. Be sure you read all the fine print. Sometimes things aren't what they appear (ex. someone selling a video game or movie and somewhere they may say they are only selling the box, which is all they have pictured.) Several people can fall into a trap and spend their hard earned money on things they will regret. Other people can get the item if they outbid you or if you already won) if the address is wrong. Hope I helped.

MANY people have been ripped off !!!

I have NOT been one of them. My last big purchase was a Harley and the seller had no clue to what "running properly" was, but I had it serviced and running fine now.

There is NO protection even if people say there is. NO ONE will help you get your money back if you experience a bad deal, unless you take it to the airwaves and call a tv show / news company.

Yes I did, and it was a bad experience for myself, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Although there are probably some legitimate sellers involved.
