Okay so my little sister (12) has a crush on this guy at her karate class. He's buff and he likes her. They share similar hobbies karate, gym, skateboarding. He is 14. What should she do?

Go for it. Nothing should be stopping her. There not even that far apart in age at all. Tell her (if she already hasn't) to tell him she likes him and see where it goes from there. Then if things get to a point where shes uncomfortable because this guy might be more experienced then her since hes in or almost in high school tell her to get out of it. But for now she should definetly give it a shot.

well it depends how you do thing in your family, I guess. It might be fine in your family to date at her age, maybe not. Whatever the case, she should know what she's doing and set her limits before doing anything, because a lot of 14 year old boys like to "beat it and leave it."

What can she do. It isn't like they can drive for a date! Invite him to the mall. Or a movie. But I am sure your parents will want you or someone else to be there to chaperon. You know 14 year old boys and those hormones!!!

Go spar him in Karate, at least she will know he is capable of protecting her not the other way around.

she should give him an opportunity to help her. guys love to help. it's in our DNA. we cannot resist. broken skateboard wheel, problem with karate equip.- anything. makes a good icebreaker. then they can fight like spongebob and sandy.
