My landlord's a cheapskate - he's pushed 2 single beds together to make a double and the mattresses are all springy and pokes me in the back. I've therefore put an old futon mattress on top until I can get him to fork out for a new bed! Plus it means I'm not likely to fall down the middle!

It used to be comfortable. It was a "Do Not Disturb" mattress. I've had it six years and it's broken down now...

For years I slept on a waterbed and hated it. Now I have an expensive comfy matress, which really helps my back.
