OOH, your books sound fun! I'll keep my own though...I got two Neil Gaiman books (Yippee! His short story collection, Smoke and Mirrors, and a novel called Neverwhere), a signed copy of a Charles DeLint book (signed by him AND Brian Froud! How lucky is that?), I am Mordred, by Vivian Vande Velde, an Eva Ibbotson book, Fat Kid Rules the World, some completely new book that looks amazingly great...So yes, I did get a good book for Christmas.

I got "Word on the street" which is a youth version of the bible. Basically it's written so that young people will be able to understand it easily. It's by an author who lived in my area (Rob Lacey- Cardiff)

I also got the popular "Dangerous book for boys". I have not had a chance to read either of them yet but hope to do so soon!

Oh yes! I got "They Think Its All Shite", an alternative history of the world cup, which made me laugh out loud. I got other, more highbrow stuff, but not read them yet - 4 jasper forde books and "A Fine Balance" by Rohinton Mistry.
Happy New Year!
Cheers, Steve.

I did not get any of the books I coveted, like Alice Munro's new one, but my bro-in-law gave me "Yoga for Weight Loss." Diplomatic, huh? I put it in the recycling bin. Hoping for better luck on my birthday, which is next week.
